Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries including importers, customer brokers, freight forwarders, port authorities, transport operators, and biosecurity industry participants.
Purpose
This Import Industry Advice Notice (IIAN) is to engage and seek nominations from relevant industry representatives to participate in a co-design workshop to assist in developing the Biosecurity Business Network program.
Key Points
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Biosecurity Tasmania are seeking to partner with industry to co-design the Biosecurity Business Network program. The program aims to strengthen government partnerships with industry and establish a network that assists businesses in developing a proactive approach to their biosecurity practices.
A key activity of the program will be a biosecurity business pledge that will be taken and promoted by industry.
This notice is a call for nominations from Australian businesses and industry representatives to participate in the co-design workshop. The workshop will focus on developing the framework of the program and identifying supporting materials that will assist business.
The 3 hour workshop will be held online on Tuesday, 17 June 2025.

Nominations close on Wednesday, 28 May 2025. The department will review all nominations and advise applicants of the outcome. If you are unable to attend the workshop, there will also be an opportunity to participate in a survey.
