Who does this notice affect?
All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period.
All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.
All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.
All users of the Seasonal Pest (SeaPest) system.
Information
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, there will be a scheduled service disruption (service degradation) to the following systems and services from 21:00 Saturday 09 August to 06:00 Sunday 10 August 2025 (AEST):
- Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS)
- Cargo Online Lodgement System Business-to-Government (COLSB2G)
- Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
- Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS)
- SeaPest
In addition, there will also be a scheduled outage to the following systems between 03:00 to 06:00 Sunday 10 August 2025 (AEST):
- COLS
- PEBS
- MARS
Action
No action required for SeaPest users.
COLS/COLSB2G, PEBS and MARS users are recommended not to use these systems between 03:00 to 06:00 Sunday 10 August 2025 (AEST).
