Who does this notice affect?
All passengers, travellers, importers, exporters and customs brokers who use the department’s online payment facility.
What has changed?
Effective Friday 5 September 2025, the Government EasyPay (GEP) service is transitioning to a new service provider. The GEP service seamlessly facilitates online payments for a range of services initiated via various departmental systems and payment of tax invoices issued by the department.
What this means for you?
Online payments can be made on the department’s secure online payment service by using a valid credit or debit card i.e. Visa/Master/American Express credit or debit cards only.
There is no change to the department’s processes for on-line payments however we are advised that the GEP Service may use a two-factor authentication process that seeks to authenticate the card holder with the card issuer.
