Who does this notice affect?
All importers of cats and/or dogs who use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS).
What has changed?
- PEQ's Animal Care Declaration form provides Biosecurity Officers with essential information to help ensure each animal receives appropriate care during their stay at the PEQ facility.
- Part of this form will now be required to be completed online as part of the PEBS booking process when you confirm your booking reservation with the Department.
- Importers can now enter pet care and dietary requirements directly into PEBS.
- A physical form is required if the animal needs medication. The physical form will need to be completed by a veterinarian.
- This change will come into effect during a system release on Friday 3rd October 2025.
