Who does this notice affect?
All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period (e.g. clients required to use the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) and COLS Business to Government (COLSB2G) system)).
All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) during this planned maintenance period.
All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.
All clients who will be required to make an online payment during this planned maintenance period.
Information
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, there will be two separate scheduled service disruption windows occurring over Friday 28 November to Sunday 30 November 2025 to the following systems and services:
- COLS
- COLSB2G
- Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS)
- Online Payment Service (OPS)
- PEBS
The service disruption windows will occur between the following dates and times:
- From 21:00 Friday 28 November to 04:30 Saturday 29 November 2025 (AEDT)
- From 21:00 Saturday 29 November to 04:30 Sunday 30 November 2025 (AEDT)
Users of the above-listed systems and services may experience possible service degradation (e.g. temporary slowness, inability to load pages/execute functions) during the service disruption windows.
Action
Where possible, users of the above-listed system are advised to await the completion of this planned maintenance period before attempting to access these services.
