Who does this notice affect?

AusTreat pre-border biosecurity treatment providers and clients in the import and shipping industries—including freight forwarders, importers and customs brokers associated with importing goods that require BMSB treatment during the BMSB risk season.

What has changed?

The department is hosting our annual information sessions for pre-border treatment providers and related industry ahead of the 2026-2027 BMSB risk season.

  • The department’s observations from the 2025-2026 risk season
  • The department’s compliance verification activities for 2026-2027
