Dear Sir

Re - Biosecurity Australia Advice 2011/06

Release of draft report for the non - regulated analysis of existing policy for apples from New Zealand. (A review).

I wish to commend Biosecurity Australia for the highly professional approach, and advice of adequate conditions for the import of apples from New Zealand.

It is difficult to imagine, that if Fire Blight in particular, is likely to enter Australia from New Zealand and cause the catastrophic devastation claimed by the Australian growers, that the New Zealand Apple Industry could have possibly survived over the last ninety years without having been completely decimated by the dreaded Fire Blight.

Instead, the New Zealand Apple Growing Industry has continued to flourish over the years and is considered by many to be further advanced than the Australian Industry.

Yours Faithfully,

Graham Keen

A friend of the Australian Industry.
