Most of the nematodes are root and soil inhabitants and are low risk, but the same can not be said for fungi. Categorisation may under-rate the capacity for pathogens to contaminate fruit. For example, Apiosporina morbosa is listed as only affecting the woody parts of the tree, and excluded from further assessment. This disease may or may not be an economic concern, but just because the woody tissue is the infection point does not mean that it will not contaminate fruit.
