2013-18 - Plant Exports - Minor amendment to Plant Exports Certificates

15 April 2013

Plant Exports – Minor amendment to Plant Exports Certificates: Phytosanitary Certificate, Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export and Radioactivity Statement

Purpose

The purpose of this Industry Advice Notice is to inform exporters and their agents that minor amendments have been made to the Phytosanitary Certificate template, Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export template and the Radioactivity Statement template.

Information

The amendments have been made to align these certificates with current phytosanitary requirements and departmental name.

Amendments to these forms are as follows:

  • Phytosanitary Certificate (template code E16) – inclusion of the word “official” in the International Plant Protection Convention static statement to comply with International Sanitary Phytosanitary Measures guideline 12.
  • Phytosanitary Certificate for Re-export (template code EX25) – correction of the title ‘Name of Authorised Officer’ to ‘Name of Inspector’, where previously there were two fields with the same title.
  • Radioactivity Statement (template code RadCert) – update of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) badging to remove reference to Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).

The version date on each of those forms has also been amended and state Mar13.

Previous versions of these certificates are no longer valid and exporters and agents, who may have saved these templates to their computers, are to delete all previous versions and replace with the latest versions, which are available on the Plant Exports web page.

If you have any further enquiries, please contact your regional DAFF Plant Exports office.
