Who does this notice affect?
This notice is of interest to importers of salmonid products and associated industry participants and retailers.
What has changed?
This notice is to inform industry that the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources is proposing changes to the existing certification and post-entry processing requirements for imported salmonid products sourced from approved countries (excluding New Zealand) and recognised countries for thermally treated salmonid product.
The proposed changes are outlined in Biosecurity advice notice 2018/26.
Stakeholders will be able to make comments on the proposed changes, the closing date for comments is 12 December 2018.
