43-2018 - Changes to breaded, battered and crumbed prawn import conditions

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers, brokers, biosecurity industry participants and retailers of breaded, battered and crumbed prawns.

What has changed?

The department has recently published Biosecurity Advice 2018-10, which notifies stakeholders that changes to import conditions for breaded, battered and crumbed prawns will be implemented on 28 September 2018 following a formal consultation period.

Stakeholders can provide comment on the proposed import conditions until 29 June 2018. The department will provide further advice to stakeholders about final import conditions and import permits for breaded, battered and crumbed prawns following the conclusion of the comment period.
