83-2018 - Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Issues with invoices being issued for Imported Cargo only (AIMS)

Who does this notice affect?

All importers and customs brokers who use the Agriculture Import Management System (AIMS).

What has changed?

The department has been experiencing some delays with the generation of invoices from the Agriculture Import Management System (AIMS) since 4 July 2018.

We expect to resolve the issue by Tuesday 31 July 2018.

Once resolved, importers and brokers will receive a tax invoice/receipt that outlines all invoiced charges and payments for finalised entries. This initial tax invoice/receipt will cover two weeks of charges.

The look of the tax invoice/receipt will also change to include information previously included as an attachment.

The department appreciates importers and brokers’ patience with this issue and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
