Who does this notice affect?

This notice is applicable to any individual or entity that performs work for, or on behalf of, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. This includes contractors, consultants, third-party providers, Export Industry Participants and Approved Arrangements.

Who does this notice affect?

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to infrastructure maintenance, the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) will be unavailable from 23:00 to 23:59 Thursday 26 October 2023 (AEDT).

Action

Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients attempting to submit permit applications using the Department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system.

Detail:

The unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system has been resolved. Clients can now submit new applications as normal.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal.

Detail:

The unplanned service disruption to MyGov Digital Identity has now been resolved. Digital Identity/myGovID clients can now access the Biosecurity Portal as normal.
