Who does this notice affect?

Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries—including vessel masters, freight forwarders, treatment providers, Biosecurity Industry Participants, importers, customs brokers and principal agents—associated with shipping or importing goods that are subject to increased intervention during the 2022-23 BMSB risk season, and vessels on 2022-23 BMSB season Vessel Seasonal Pest Scheme (VSPS).

The purpose of this advice notice is to:

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge inspection requests to the department during this planned outage.

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the Biosecurity Portal will be unavailable for clients registered through MyGov Digital Identity from 23:30 Saturday 14 January to 07:00 Sunday 15 January 2023 (AEDT).
