The unplanned service disruption to the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) has been resolved. Clients can now create and progress bookings as normal.

A diagnostic tool using nano technology to rapidly detect high-risk plant pests and pathogens in the field will undergo feasibility testing in a biosecurity innovation pilot kicking off this month.
Around $5 million will be spent over the coming year on projects using cutting-edge science to help boost Australia's biosecurity capabilities.

The Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, clients may be unable to create new bookings or progress existing bookings.
The department is investigating the issue as a high priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused. The department will advise once this issue has been resolved.

The department is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal and Scheduling and Workload Management System (SWMS). Some Biosecurity Portal clients are not receiving booking confirmation emails and there may be processing delays for inspection booking requests.
