All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs attempting to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS).

Information

The unplanned service disruption to the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) has been resolved. Clients can now create and progress bookings as normal.

No action required. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Who does this notice affect?

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs attempting to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS).

Information

The Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, clients may be unable to create new bookings or progress existing bookings.

Action

The department is investigating the issue as a high priority and apologises for any inconvenience caused. The department will advise once this issue has been resolved.

All importers and customs brokers who are lodging inspection requests to the department.

Information

The unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal and Scheduling and Workload Management System (SWMS) has now been resolved.

Action

No action required. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

147-2022: Addition of breaded, battered, or crumbed prawns and highly processed uncooked prawns to the Compliance-Based Intervention Scheme (CBIS)

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers, brokers, and biosecurity industry participants of:

  • Breaded, battered, or crumbed (BBC) prawns from all countries; or
  • Highly processed (HP) prawns from all countries

What has changed?

The department is incorporating BBC prawns and HP prawns from approved countries onto the Compliance Based Intervention Scheme (CBIS). This change is scheduled to take effect on 22 August 2022.

All importers and customs brokers who are lodging inspection requests to the department.

Information

The department is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal and Scheduling and Workload Management System (SWMS). Some Biosecurity Portal clients are not receiving booking confirmation emails and there may be processing delays for inspection booking requests.
