The issue preventing some clients from being able to submit lodgements through the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) has been resolved.
No action required. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, and freight forwarders, wishing to create and manage requests for import inspection at sites in Victoria can book them via the new Biosecurity Portal from Wednesday 20 July 2022.
Additionally, from Wednesday 20 July 2022 any requests for import inspections at Victoria sites still using the Request for Inspection (RFI) form should be emailed to the new email address (see below).

All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this service disruption.
Due to urgent scheduled maintenance, the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) will be unavailable from 23:00 to 23:59 Wednesday 13 July 2022 (AEST).
Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access COLS.
