Who does this notice affect?

This notice is for all airlines, freight forwarders, pet transport companies and importers of cats and dogs to Australia.

What has changed?

While COVID-19 restrictions have been eased in Victoria, the impact of COVID-19 is continuing to effect wait times for cat and dog reservations at the Post Entry Quarantine (PEQ) facility in Mickleham. Since May 2020, animals have continued to arrive at Melbourne International Airport, been collected by the department and taken to the PEQ without issue.

Who does this notice affect?

All brokers and importers who are awaiting clearance of import declarations (FID, LFSAC) lodged on Tuesday 29 December 2020 and Wednesday 30 December 2020.

Information

The unplanned service disruption affecting AIMS has now been resolved.

Action

No further action required. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
