Information

The unplanned outage to the online BMSB declaration and treatment certificate lodgement portal has been resolved.

Action

Treatment certificates and MC Declarations can now be lodged as normal. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

224-2020: *UPDATE* COLS compatibility issues when using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

222-2020: Interim inspection requirements for rural consignments of new horse floats

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers and customs brokers who import new horse floats under tariffs 871639, 871640 and 8716800036.

What has changed?

The department has reviewed the inspection requirements for new horse floats.

Current onshore outcomes in BICON require an unpack inspection for all consignments of new horse floats declared to be destined to a rural destination.

This list is referenced in section 6 and section 37A of the Biosecurity (Conditionally Non-prohibited Goods) Determination 2021 (Goods Determination).

This list is only applicable to goods that are intended for human therapeutic use or veterinary therapeutic use and are subject to specific conditions of import, as outlined in the Goods Determination.
