Purpose

This Market Access Advice (MAA) provides information to export registered seafood establishments on amended certificate template FXIN01.

Changes to Vegetable seed for sowing

From 1 July 2025 an import permit will be required for Brassicaceous seed requiring treatment and Cucurbitaceous seed requiring testing and/or treatment, that are imported for an end use of sowing. Importers will be able to apply for import permits for these species through BICON from 1 April 2025.

This notice is of interest to Approved Arrangements, terminal operators, importers, and brokers for imports of all goods.

Background

The department has been advised by Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Centre (JEVIC) that cleaning and pre-inspection services will continue to be reduced at several facilities located in Japan.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment web-based applications during this planned maintenance period.  

Information

The department will be conducting network maintenance from 23:00 Friday 29 January to 04:00 Wednesday 03 February 2021 (AEDT).

DAWE applications may experience up to two 5-minute outages at 23:30 Friday 29 January and 23:30 Tuesday 02 February 2021 (AEDT). These applications include, but are not limited to:

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers and customs brokers (including class 19.2 Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM) accredited persons) of used vehicles that have been cleaned by an offshore treatment provider recognised by the department.

Recognised Offshore Cleaning Provider Scheme

The Recognised Offshore Cleaning Provider Scheme allows used vehicles to be cleaned and pre-inspected by approved offshore treatment providers.
