Australian, state and territory governments share an objective of balancing the needs of industry and the sustainable management of forests through integrating environmental, commercial and community values and uses.

The Australian Government works with state and territory governments (which have primary responsibility for forest management) and forestry industry in advancing this objective.

The purpose of the external Territory – Norfolk Island web pages is to convey recent amendments made to the Biosecurity Legislation (Prohibited and Conditionally Non-prohibited Goods) Determination 2016. The content of these pages provides/communicates the latest import requirements, specifically the health certification requirements, for cats and dogs being imported into Norfolk Island. These pages will be utilised by the Norfolk Island community and industry.

Your animal must be identified by a microchip with a unique number that can be read by an Avid, Trovan, Destron or other ISO compatible reader.
