Release of updated candidate advice for PGG3001 Inspection of Prescribed Grain & Plant Products to encompass updated Work Instruction and volume in the Plant Export Operations Manual.
The Candidate Advice was created to provide Authorised Officers with a study tool to prepare themselves for assessment.

To remind industry that export destinations may require wood packaging materials treated in accordance with ISPM 15 and ISPM 15 compliant wood packaging materials must be stored appropriately, away from any potential sources of infestation.

To advise industry and Authorised Officers that Work Instruction — HAS3001 Inspection and certification of hay and straw has been revised and is now accessible on the Plant Export Operations Manual (PEOM) resources webpage.
The Export Control (Hay and Straw) Orders 2005 were repealed in 2011 and the provisions within these Orders were incorporated within the Export Control (Plants and Plant Products) Order 2011 (the Order).

To advise exporters and agents of changes to current procedures for plant exports offices in relation to requesting inspection appointments and certification.

To advise industry of new procedural resources for sampling, inspection and certification of hay and straw for export are now accessible on the Plant Export Operations Manual (PEOM) website.
The Export Control (Hay and Straw) Orders 2005 were repealed in 2011 and the provisions within these Orders were incorporated within the Export Control (Plants and Plant Products) Order 2011.
