Who does this notice affect?

All importers of plants, cats and/or dogs who will be required to use the Post Entry Biosecurity System during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the Post Entry Biosecurity System (PEBS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Sunday 11 August to 01:00 Monday 12 August 2024 (AEST).

Action

Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.

Registered exporters of honey and apiculture products, manufacturers, agents and freight forwarders.

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) users of a planned outage.

NEXDOC is a system through which exporters can apply for export certification to export honey and apiculture products to certain markets.

173-2024: Expansion of the highly compliant importer (HCI) scheme

Who does this notice affect?

All importers, approved arrangement class 19 accredited persons and customs brokers who import or lodge consignments of tyres, aircraft and machinery/machinery parts.

What has changed?

From 7 August 2024, the scope of the highly compliant importer (HCI) scheme will be expanded to include the following commodities:
