Who does this notice affect?

All users of the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system expecting emails from the department via the BICON system.

Information

Between 08:45 and 16:20 on Wednesday 22 May 2024 (AEST), there was an unplanned service disruption, resulting in users not receiving emails from the department via the BICON system.

This issue has now been resolved and users are receiving emails from the department via the BICON system as normal.

All users of the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system expecting emails from the department via the BICON system.

Detail:

BICON is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption.

As a result, clients are not receiving emails from the department via the BICON system.

Action

This issue is being investigated as a priority and the department will advise once resolved.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The Victorian Government has advised the Australian Government that it is investigating an incident of avian influenza in a Victorian poultry farm.

All clients required to create new permit applications or access existing application documents within the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system.

Between 13:50 and 16:50 on Tuesday 21 May 2024 (AEST), there was an issue with the department’s IT infrastructure, resulting in some BICON users being unable to use the following BICON services:
