
The Australian Biosecurity Awards celebrate individuals, groups and organisations who have shown a commitment to supporting and promoting Australia’s biosecurity and the systems that underpin it.
Past champions include primary producers implementing proactive on-farm biosecurity practices, community groups protecting Australia from biosecurity threats, and people working on the frontline to manage emergency pest and disease outbreaks.

- Shayne and Blaise Cini of Edari Bananas were recognised with a Farm Biosecurity Producer of the Year Award for demonstrating forward-thinking in the face of serious biosecurity threats to their 220-acre banana farm in Queensland.
- Dr Michelle Wille was honoured with the Environmental Biosecurity Award for her work in raising awareness of the threat posed by highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1).
- The Western Cape Turtle Threat Abatement Alliance received a First Nations Award for Excellence in Biosecurity for their efforts to protect vulnerable and endangered marine turtles in the Cape York region by reducing feral pig predation.
