Fertiliser Supply Working Group Meeting – 10 July 2026
The Government/Industry Fertiliser Supply Working Group met for the eleventh time on 10 July 2026.
The Fertiliser Supply Working Group met to discuss current fertiliser supply and market conditions, including international price trends, and seasonal demand. The recent announcement that the Perdaman urea facility in Western Australia has been awarded major project status was also noted.
The Working Group noted the publicly available Fertiliser Dashboard has been updated to reflect the current supply and demand outlook for fertilisers important to Australia’s agricultural production: www.agriculture.gov.au/abares/data/fertiliser-dashboard
The Working Group received updates from industry with on-ground information for urea and other fertilisers.
The Working Group noted the need to maintain a watching brief on any fertiliser supply chain disruptions arising from ongoing conflict in the Middle East; and agreed to forward planning discussions at the next meeting.
