Overview
The desktop and functional exercises were completed with great success in 2023.
- Activities 1 and 2 were conducted at AgriBio, Bundoora, Victoria in September 2023.
- The focus of these 2 desktop activities were laboratory resources and logistics.
- Activity 3 was conducted at the Tasmanian Animal Health Laboratory in October 2023.
- The focus of this exercise was to evaluate Tasmania’s animal health laboratory systems and prepare for Activity 4.
- Activity 4 was conducted across all Australian state/territory government animal health laboratories, including the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness, in November 2023.
- The focus of this 3-day activity was to challenge each laboratory with a simulated disease outbreak.
