This project aims to enhance serological diagnostic capabilities at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness for equine piroplasmosis caused by protozoal parasites Theileria equi and Babesia caballi.

- 2 – Improve Australia’s surveillance and diagnostic capacity for animal pests and diseases.
Activity alignment:
- 2.1 – Implement actions under National Animal Health Surveillance Business Plan and National Animal Health Diagnostic Business Plan.
- 2.2 – Develop and implement novel technologies, such as point-of-care animal testing and genomics, to address gaps in diagnostic capacity.
