Date of effect: Immediate
Attention
Meat license holders
Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise that you will be able to manage your meat export licence applications online through Export Service.
Summary of key points
Coming soon to the Export Service is the new export licensing service. Using the Export Service will provide a simpler, faster way to apply for, renew, vary or cancel meat export licences. It will not be mandatory though and you don’t have to do anything now.
The Export Service will become your one place to:
- Create an account, link your business, and invite people.
- Register and manage your Licence/s.
- Submit and track your applications.
- Upload required documentation.
- Interact with the department on your applications.
Background
The Export Service was launched to provide exporters and export industries with way to manage their agricultural export requirements in one place and interact with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).
The service intends to provide a single sign in experience to all DAFF export services, providing a front door for users to sign in once and then access other services as needed.
You will have the option to use the Export Service or follow the existing process to submit a PDF application form when you’re required to renew, vary or cancel your meat export licence.
In addition to the new export licence service, licence holders will soon receive automated licence renewal reminder notices. Renewal notices will be sent out 180 days before a licence renewal is due, with subsequent reminders to be sent out at regular intervals until the licence renewal is submitted or the renewal period is closed.
The new form will be accessible for registered users through the department’s Export Service. If a licence holder is not registered, they will need to create an account in the Export Service.
If you already have an account with the Export Service, please continue using your current log in.
