2024-24: Transition to NEXDOC – Wool Registration in NEXDOC

11 October 2024

Attention:

Registered wool exporters, manufacturers, agents, freight forwarders

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) - Central and Regional offices.

Summary of changes and key points:

To notify that Wool products (including lanolin and feathers) are moving to the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) System.

Registration in NEXDOC is now open for Wool exporters, agents and freight forwarders.

The department is rolling out the NEXDOC System, which is a web-based export documentation system with enhanced features and improved user experience

This system will replace the current EXDOC system in a staged approach.

Further details on an implementation date will be provided in the near future.

Register on NEXDOC

If you are a Wool exporter or Electronic Data Interface (EDI) user, you will need to register via the department’s online service portal

If you are already a registered NEXDOC user, you will need to add the Wool commodity to your account.

Note for users of third party software:

Even if you are using a third-party software, registration is still required to access the system.

The department has been working with software providers to ensure they are prepared to integrate with NEXDOC for wool.

It is important to work closely with your software provider to ensure your system needs are met, and you are well positioned to commence using NEXDOC.

Access the online service portal and register.

Additional support

Virtual drop-in sessions are available to find out more. Times and dates for these sessions are listed on our website.
