103-2022: Webinar registration is now open for Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) activities 22-23/01 and 22-23/02

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s Class 19.1 non-commodity for containerised cargo clearance (NCCC) and Class 19.2 automatic entry processing for commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangements; Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) providers and registered training organisations (RTOs).

What has changed?

As outlined in Import Industry Advice Notice 86-2022, registration to attend the CBC activity for the class 19 approved arrangements is now open. The department will be hosting a live webinar on Tuesday 12 July 2022 from 10:30am – 11:30am AEST via Microsoft teams. Note: For those who do not have access to Microsoft teams, you can also watch the live webinar via web browser (Chrome or Microsoft Edge only).

To register, please access the Eventbrite link: CBC 22/23- 01 - Enhancing AEP Competency webinar Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation. Click on the 'View event’ button to access the live webinar link.

For those who cannot attend the live webinar, a recording will be made available on the department’s CBC activities webpage once the event has concluded.

To maintain Class 19 accreditation, accredited persons must view the webinar and complete the assessment as part of the CBC activity by Monday 8 August 2022. Please contact your industry CBC provider to undertake the assessment. Failure to complete the activity may result in suspension of your accreditation.

Note: class 19.1 (NCCC accredited persons) must complete CBC Activity 22-23/01; class 19.2 (AEPCOMM accredited persons) must complete both CBC Activity 22-23/01 and CBC Activity 22-23/02.
