109-2022: Release of new Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) application and new sign-up process via Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM)

27 June 2022

Who does this notice affect?

This notice applies to airlines, aircraft operators and their contracted services (third party disinsection treatment providers) on an Approved Arrangement with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) or Compliance Agreement with the Ministry for Primary Industries New Zealand (MPI), as current users of the Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) database.

What has changed?

As advised through Industry Advice Notice 82-2022, the ADI database will cease to be available to airlines, aircraft operators and their contracted services (third party disinsection treatment providers) from and including 28 June 2022.

This will be replaced by the new ADI application for airlines, aircraft operators and their contracted services (third party disinsection treatment providers) to certify aircraft disinsection compliance for residual and pre-embarkation disinsection treatment methods.

Residual disinsection treatments undertaken from 3 May 2022 to 27 June 2022 can be viewed as read only in the legacy ADI database by department administrators only.

The Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM) will function as the front facing application to manage external user accounts and authenticate user access to ADI.

Action Required

Each airline or aircraft operator must have registered airline administrators and all airline users in the new ADI application.

Airlines must ensure all current ADI database users (those who shared multi user access), sign up to the new ADI application urgently.

This will provide airlines with continued capability into the new ADI application and avoiding any unnecessary delays for aircraft arrivals into Australia and New Zealand, noting the following:

  • Each airline or airline operator must sign up an airline administrator. The airline administrator is responsible for endorsing other airline employees or third-party treatment providers needing access to the ADI application.
  • Each airline or airline operator needs to identify who will update the ADI. These individuals need to sign up to the ADI Application as airline users.

Further information

For more information about the ADI application and iRAM application used to authenticate user access to ADI and manage external user accounts please visit Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) Application and Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM).
