82-2022: Release of new Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) application and new sign-up process via Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM)

19 May 2022

Who does this notice affect?

This notice applies to airlines, aircraft operators and their contracted services (third party disinsection treatment providers).

What has changed?

The Conveyance Arrivals Modernisation (CAM) Program developed an enhanced Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) application introducing:

  • a more stable and reliable platform
  • new security measures
  • new specified roles

The Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM) will function as the front facing application to manage external user accounts and authenticate user access to the ADI.

ADI and iRAM can be accessed via the ADI Application and iRAM.

It is critical that an airline administrator signs up for the new ADI application and is active for each airline and aircraft operator prior to 28 June 2022.

Date Phase
16 May 2022 New ADI Application sign up process open for airline and aircraft operators, including the initial set up of an airline administrator.
27 June 2022 ADI database (legacy) is switched off to all airline and aircraft operators.*
28 June 2022 New ADI Application is live with all airline and aircraft operators under an Approved Arrangement or Compliance Agreement with the department or MPI to use new ADI application

Residual disinsection treatments undertaken between 3 May 2022- 27 June 2022 can be viewed as read only in the legacy ADI database by DAWE administrators.

Action Required

The below must be completed prior to 28 June 2022 or before the first flight into Australia or New Zealand thereafter.

To ensure airlines and aircraft operators are ready to use the new ADI application from 28 June 2022, airlines will need to set up an airline administrator. The airline administrator is responsible for endorsing other airline employees or third-party treatment providers that need access to the ADI application.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Identify an individual within the airline or aircraft operator to become the first airline administrator.
  2. Complete the ADI application sign up process.
  3. Email arrivals@awe.gov.au to advise who will undertake the role of the airline administrator, including their email address.
  4. The DAWE ADI administrator will locate the profile within iRAM to approve access.
  5. The airline administrator can commence endorsing airline users. Refer to ADI & iRAM Support page for more information.

Further information

Upgrades to the ADI Application will be available in June, additional information will be provided closer to the release date.

For further information, please see the Aircraft disinsection page on the department’s website.
