Who does this notice affect?
Persons who lodge documents via Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS).
What has changed?
As a direct result of industry feedback, the department has increased the COLS upload file size limit from 10 MB to 20 MB.
This enhancement delivers on commitments to improve document lodgement process for industry and was developed as part of the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing Systems (STEPS) Program. STEPS is an investment in the department’s imported cargo ICT systems and business processes to enhance Australia's biosecurity risk management by creating a faster, simpler and more integrated cargo clearance system.

There is no change to process however to support the increase in file size limit from 10 MB to 20 MB, help cards and training material have been updated and can be accessed by the following links:
