Who does this notice affect?
Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under approved arrangement Class 19, who are interested in attending an information session on the upcoming Release 3 (other email users) of industry reporting via the Biosecurity Portal.
What has changed?
The department is pleased to announce that Release 3 of Biosecurity Industry Reporting will be rolled out via the Biosecurity Portal.
Release 3 will extend the reporting to users logging in with an email address/password (and with multi-factor authentication) via the Biosecurity Portal – the “Other Users” pathway.
This release delivers on commitments to improve consignment visibility for industry and was developed as part of the Simplified Targeting and Enhanced Processing Systems (STEPS) Program. STEPS is an investment in the department’s imported cargo ICT systems and business processes aimed at enhancing Australia's biosecurity risk management by creating a faster, simpler and more integrated cargo clearance system.
Register for an information session
To support the upcoming release of the industry reporting for ‘other email users’ of the Biosecurity Portal, the department will host a series of information and demonstration sessions online. The dates and times for the sessions are as follows. Please note that sessions will last approximately one hour.
