92-2026: Enhancement to the self-service industry report on fee reporting now available on the Biosecurity Portal

16 June 2026

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under Approved Arrangement Class 19 who seek on-demand details of entries referred to the department.

What has changed?

An enhancement to the fee reporting is now available and has been added to Biosecurity Industry Reporting via the Biosecurity Portal for all accredited persons operating under Approved Arrangement Class 19. This release will supersede the information previously provided by Broker Reports, which will now be decommissioned.

What is included in the reports?

The enhancements to the fee reporting enables accredited persons to view an overview page which includes:

The total fees for your brokerage, broken down by:

Importer, accredited person and fees applied.

There has also been an overall improvement to the usability of the Biosecurity Industry Reporting reports.

Some of the potential benefits include:

  • Reduced enquiries to the department: Self-service reports decrease the need for calls and emails to the department to obtain the information you need.
  • Greater awareness: Visibility of Approved Arrangement Class 19 helps identify ways to improve processing, reducing timeframes for consignments referred to the department.
  • Improved access to consignment data: Supports both the department and industry to better monitor emerging and changing biosecurity risks.

These enhancements deliver on commitments to improve consignment visibility for industry.

How to access the reports?

The reports are available via the Biosecurity Portal for eligible myID and email authenticated users via a ‘Industry Reporting’ tile.

Biosecurity Portal Administrators within selected organisations can manage their team’s access to the reports.

Further information

To support the release of the reporting, help cards and training material have been developed and can be accessed via LearnHub.

More information about the industry reporting in the Biosecurity Portal can be found on the department’s Biosecurity portal page.

More information about the STEPS program can be found on the department’s STEPS program page.
