Who does this notice affect?
Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who receive biosecurity directions from the Import Management System (IMS).

Four minor issues have been identified in the Biosecurity Directions that the IMS is issuing. The Department believes these were introduced during the December 2025 release for IMS but not identified till January 2026.
The Direction types affected are Documentation - Present all documentation and Final Directives - Administration Withdrawn:
- No email address is listed to supply documents to this should be SACNCC@aff.gov.au
- The number of units listed for contravening s127(3) is incorrectly listed as 300 units this should be 120 units.
- There is currently a question mark “?” being printed after the date/time the direction needs to be complied with this should be ignored.
- There is an error displaying the bottom “tagline” at the very end of the Biosecurity directions which can be ignored this is currently displaying - “XPathException: XPath expression (./Tagline) returned no results”.
Action
No action required.
The department apologises for any inconvenience caused and a fix will be deployed for these issues with the IMS release planned on the 30th of Jan 2026.
