System notifications

This webpage contains industry notices relating specifically to system maintenance, outages and service disruptions associated with the department’s biosecurity import systems.

Please see below for information relating to changes to publication of these notices and email notification subscription processes.

Publication of import system notifications:

  • From Friday 12 December 2025, biosecurity import systems notices relating to system maintenance, outages or service disruptions will no longer be published on the department’s Import industry advice notices webpage and will instead be published here.
  • Note: notices relating to changes to/new features or services associated with the department’s biosecurity import systems will continue to be published on the department’s Import industry advice notices webpage as normal. There will be no change to this existing process.

Email subscription services for import system notifications:

  • Between Friday 12 December 2025 to Saturday 31 January 2026 (inclusive), email notifications relating to biosecurity import systems (outages/service disruptions/maintenance) will still be sent to subscribers of the department’s Import Industry Advice Notices subscription service as normal. This will provide biosecurity industry participants with additional time to sign up to the new subscription service.
  • Biosecurity Industry Participants are encouraged to subscribe to the new ‘Import system notifications’ email subscription service prior to Sunday 01 February 2026.
  • From Sunday 01 February 2026, email notifications relating to biosecurity import systems notices (outages/service disruptions/maintenance) will only be sent to subscribers of the department’s new subscription centre category ‘Import system notifications’. From this date, these notices will no longer be sent to subscribers of the Import Industry Advice Notices service. Clients wishing to receive email notifications for biosecurity import systems outages must subscribe to receive these via the department’s subscription centre.

To subscribe to the new email notification service, please visit the department’s subscription centre and complete the subscription process (select the ‘Import system notifications’ category, which can be found under the ‘Import news’ heading).
