133-2026: Unplanned Service Disruption: Thursday 02 July – Biosecurity Portal

17 July 2026

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for inspections via the Biosecurity Portal MyID pathway

Information

Start time:

First reported at 09:10 Thursday 16 July 2026 (AEST).

Detail:

The department’s systems are currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption, which affects users of the Biosecurity Portal logged in through the MyID pathway.

As a result, these users will be experiencing the following issues:

  • The "Request/manage recurring appointment" tile will be visible in the Portal but returns an error message when selected. This function is not currently available, and the tile will be removed from the portal until the function is available.
  • Some users may experience a pagination issue in the MyID Request for Inspection section with all entries visible on a single page. This does not limit the entries that can be viewed.
  • The search functionality in the MyID Request for Inspection section may not correctly filter entries. Users are advised to use the web browser’s "Find on page" functionality or Ctrl + F to locate specific entries.

Action

This issue is being investigated as a priority and the department will advise once the issue is resolved.

Users should continue to use current processes for Recurring Appointment requests and modifications.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
