153-2026: Scheduled Outage: Friday 14 August to Saturday 15 August 2026 – BICON

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to infrastructure upgrades, BICON will experience service disruptions from 23:00 Friday 14 August to 23:59 Saturday 15 August 2026 (AEST).

  • Users will not be able to create new applications or complete account management activities such as password resets, creating new accounts or joining existing accounts.
  • Help cards will be unavailable.
  • Users will not receive BICON system emails. Emails will queue and send at the conclusion of disruption.
  • Users will not be able to view invoices but will still be able to pay them.

Action

Clients are advised to complete and submit any in-progress import permit applications prior to the commencement of this planned maintenance period.

Clients are advised to await completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.

The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
