Who does this notice affect?
All clients required to register a new account using the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON).
Information
Start time: as of 16:30 Tuesday 18 August 2026 (AEST).
Details:
BICON is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, users that do not access their account activation link within 24 hours are unable to complete their account registration.
Note: Existing registered BICON users are not affected by this issue.
Action
To avoid being impacted by this issue, account registrations MUST be completed within 24 hours of receiving the activation link email.
This issue is under investigation, and the Department will advise once services have been restored.
The department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
