Subject: Biosecurity Australia Advice 2006/09 - Draft import risk analysis report for ornamental finfish with respect to iridoviruses
Dear Animal Biosecurity,
Thank you for your email of 24th March 2009 enclosing Biosecurity Australia Advice 2006/09 - Draft import risk analysis report for ornamental finfish with respect to iridoviruses.
AAHL's response is :
"Based on the vast numbers of ornamental fish imported into Australia per annum and our current knowledge of the biology of iridoviruses, as outlined in the draft import risk analysis report for ornamental fish with respect to iridoviruses, the additional tighter quarantine measures specified for gouramis, cichlids and poeciliids are appropriate."
Regards,
Gordon
