Purpose
To advise that Plant Export Operations Manual (PEOM) Volume 8A has been amended, providing approval for the coring technique for hay and straw bales.
Background
The coring technique for bales of hay and straw was conditionally approved till 30 June 2013, subject to the results of scientific trials undertaken by industry. The Grain and Seed Exports Program has received submissions from AFIA enabling the ongoing use of coring as a sampling technique for hay and straw.
