​Small Pelagic Fishery

In May 2010, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority granted provisional allocation of statutory fishing rights in the Small Pelagic Fishery, under the Small Pelagic Fishery Management Plan 2009.

A total of three concession-holders applied to SFRARP for a review of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s provisional allocation decision.

Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery

In November 2007, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority granted provisional allocation of statutory fishing rights in the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery under the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery Management Plan 2005 (as amended by the Eastern Tuna and Billfish Fishery Management Plan 2007{No.1}). A total of seven concession-holders applied to SFRARP for a review of Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s provisional allocation decision.

  • 23 December 2008 – Chester and Helen Malin – Order
  • 24 February 2009 – Helen and Chester Malin, F & B Costa and F & M Puglisi, Lamason Trading Pty Ltd, Robert L Lamason and Robert Lamason and Ann Lamason - Decision

Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery (Shark species & Elephant fish)

In June 2007, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority granted provisional allocations of statutory fishing rights for Shark species & Elephant fish in the Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery under the Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003. A total of four concession-holders applied to SFRARP for a review of Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s provisional allocation decision. Subsequently three concession holders withdrew their application, leaving just one applicant, Trevor Ray Gilmore.

Western Tuna Billfish Fishery

In April 2007, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority granted provisional allocations of statutory fishing rights in the Western Tuna and Billfish Fishery under the Western Tuna and Billfish Fishery Management Plan 2005. A total of four concession-holders applied to SFRARP for a review of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s provisional allocation decision. Subsequently, three concession-holders withdrew their application, leaving just one applicant, Gary J Kennedy Pty Ltd.

Southern & Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery (East Coast Deepwater Trawl Sector)

In November 2005 the Australian Fisheries Management Authority granted provisional allocations of Type T Quota statutory fishing rights generated from East Coast Deepwater Trawl Sector statutory fishing rights under the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003. One concession-holder applied to SFRARP for a review of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s provisional allocation decision.
