Budget 2025-26
The 2025–26 Portfolio Budget Statements were released on 25 March 2025.
This form is for requests to the Director of Biosecurity for an extension of time to pay an infringement notice, or withdrawal of an infringement notice.
Note that if you are making this request on behalf of a person who has received in infringement notice, you will need to complete an Authority to Act form and include it with the request.
You will receive written confirmation of your submission within 10 business days. The Director of Biosecurity (or delegate) will review your request to withdraw an infringement notice according to the Regulatory Powers (Standard Provisions) Act 2014, a process that may take up to 90 days.
You will receive a refund of the money you have paid if the infringement notice is withdrawn.

You may request an extension of time to pay the infringement notice. Note: The infringement notice penalty amounts are set by law and cannot be reduced.
If your payment period close date has already passed, the INU will be unable to provide an extension of time to pay.
If your payment period has closed, you are unable to request an extension of time to pay. If you wish to make payment, please contact the INU via phone on 02 6272 4965 during office hours (8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday AEST) If your payment period is open, a form will get sent to INU for review.
