Who does this notice affect?
All military clients currently lodging import documentation for biosecurity assessment via email.
What has changed?
To continue the department’s approach in modernising and improving service delivery, military clients and their brokers/agents will now be able to use a military-specific coversheet when submitting documents to the department for assessment. The new coversheet will make processing military documentation easier for both clients and the department.

When sending an email to Import Assessment, please ensure that you include “Military” in the subject line of the email.
For all Full Import Declarations (FIDS) the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) is to be used. Any documentation received that does not fit the above criteria, will be returned back unassessed and you will be advised of the correct channel to use.
