Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries — including importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, vessel masters, biosecurity industry participants and shipping agents.

What has changed?

In 2023 the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) completed a comprehensive review of the Biosecurity Cost Recovery Arrangement, with new regulatory charges commencing on 1 July 2023.

Who does this notice affect?

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal during this scheduled maintenance window.

Information

Due to scheduled system maintenance, the Biosecurity Portal may experience intermittent slowness between 22:00 Friday 05 April to 04:00 Saturday 06 April 2024 (AEDT).
