Information

Due to urgent system maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 14:30 to 16:30 Friday 01 March 2024 (AEDT).

Action

Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this maintenance period.

The department’s Agriculture Import Management System (AIMS) is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption, which is causing delays in the issuing of biosecurity directions to some importers and brokers.

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the Cargo Online Lodgement System (COLS) may experience a brief service disruption from 23:30 Saturday 02 March to 04:30 Sunday 03 March 2024 (AEDT).

Stakeholders in the import and shipping industries – including Biosecurity Industry Participants, master consolidators, vessel masters, freight forwarders, importers, customs brokers and principle shipping agents – associated with the transport or importation of chemical or mined (inorganic) fertiliser.

What has changed?

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is undertaking external consultation in relation to proposed changes to its Imported Inorganic Fertiliser Management policies.
