This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that applications are now open for the accreditation of farms and packhouses to export Hass avocados to Japan, Thailand, and India.

Who does this notice affect?

Importers, biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s class 19 approved arrangements, freight forwarders and other industry participants who arrange documentation for imported goods.

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to notify industry of an expected maintenance outage for our learning management system (Learnhub).

A list of horticulture export registered establishments approved to undertake treatments for protocol markets is provided below. Not all treatment facilities are listed, only those that have given permission to be published.

The registered establishments are grouped by the types of approved treatments. The list does not include approved commodities and countries. This information must be obtained from the establishment.

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON will be unavailable from 20:00 (AEDT) Saturday 06 April to 03:30 Sunday 07 April 2024 (AEST).

Action

Clients are advised to complete and submit any in-progress import permit applications prior to the commencement of this planned outage period.
