The unplanned service disruption to the Import Management System (IMS) has been resolved. Messages that were queued during the disruption are now being sent through to IMS.

2023-73: Horticulture – Application for accreditation of Western Australian farms and packhouses for the export of avocados to India

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise that applications are now open for the export of Hass avocadoes to India from Western Australian for avocado farms and packhouses that already hold accreditation for the Japan and/or Thailand protocol markets.

2023-34: Export listing for intermediate facilities for raw pet meat to Canada

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry that a new export listing is now available for ‘intermediate facilities’ intending to export raw meat (excluding kangaroo, pork, poultry and wild boar) for the manufacture of pet food to Canada. Canada defines an ‘intermediate facility’ as an establishment which only handles (process/pack/store or export) inedible grade meat.

Support for new farm forestry assets, private native forestry, and Indigenous forestry areas

The Australian Government’s $3.5 million farm forestry, private native forestry and Indigenous forestry projects were developed in partnership with state and territory governments during 2020 21 and 2021 22. The aim of the projects was to support the states to offer advice on the establishment of new farm forestry assets, private native forestry and Indigenous forestry areas suitability for sustainable harvesting of forest products.

245-2023: Management of cabotage vessels intending on loading in-ships-hold agricultural commodities

Who does this notice affect?

Biosecurity industry participants, such as vessel owners, operators, shipping agents and consignees involved in the management of domestic in-ships-hold agricultural commodities (e.g., fertiliser, grain, stockfeed) on board international vessels.

244-2023: Service Disruption: Sunday 26 November 2023 - BICON

Who does this notice affect?

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON) during this planned maintenance period.

Information

Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, BICON users may experience several intermittent outages from 16:00 to 23:59 Sunday 26 November 2023 (AEDT).

Action

Users are advised to frequently save any in-progress permit applications during this planned maintenance period.
