Who does this notice affect?
Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who will be required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal during this planned outage.
Information
Due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance, the Biosecurity Portal will be unavailable from 22:00 Tuesday 15 November to 02:00 Wednesday 16 November 2022 (AEDT).

Attention
Food importers and their customs brokers.
Purpose
To remind importers and their customs brokers that we offer virtual label and visual inspections for eligible imported food.
Agricultural Traceability Grants
The Australian Government provides grant funding to support opportunities to secure value-added benefits for agricultural industries, deliver improved traceability outcomes, and provide national leadership.
Activities will also support effective responses to biosecurity outbreaks and changing market and consumer requirements.

World animal health visit a first for Australia
World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, formerly OIE) Director General, Dr Monique Éloit is visiting Australia for the first time this week.

All clients required to use the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system during this planned outage.
Information
Due to scheduled maintenance, the department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON) system will be unavailable from 23:00 Saturday 12 November to 03:00 Sunday 13 November 2022 (AEDT).
Action
Clients are advised to complete and submit any in-progress import permit applications prior to the commencement of this planned outage period.
220-2022: Scheduled Outage: Thursday 10 November to Friday 11 November 2022 – MARS

All shipping agents or operators of maritime conveyances who will be required to report pre-arrival information during this planned maintenance period.
Information
Due to scheduled maintenance, the Maritime and Aircraft Reporting System (MARS) will be unavailable from 23:00 Thursday 10 November to 02:00 Friday 11 November 2022 (AEDT).
Action
Clients are advised to await the completion of this maintenance period before attempting to access this service.
