This notice applies to airlines, aircraft operators and their contracted services (third party disinsection treatment providers).

What has changed?

The Conveyance Arrivals Modernisation (CAM) Program developed an enhanced Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) application introducing:

Who does this notice affect?

This notice is of interest to importers of nut species imported as seed for sowing, and their customs brokers.

What has changed?

The plant pathogenic bacterium Xylella fastidiosa (Xylella) is Australia’s highest National Priority Plant Pest (NPPP).

Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) System and Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM)

The Aircraft Disinsection Information (ADI) system is used to record aircraft disinsection treatments. Treatments must be recorded for all flights arriving in Australia and New Zealand.

The Import Relationship and Access Manager (iRAM) is the secure gateway to ADI. All users must register through iRAM to manage their role and access permissions.

 

Who needs to use ADI

Aircraft operators and third-party treatment providers must use the ADI system if both apply:

2022-30: Horticulture Exports Program – In-transit cold treatment certification requirements for exports to Japan

Purpose

This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry of the in-transit cold treatment (ITCT) certification requirements for export of grapes and citrus to Japan.

Summary of changes and key points

Exporters, shipping companies, freight forwarders and plant export Authorised Officers (AOs) must consider the following when exporting ITCT grape and citrus consignments to Japan. In future, this information will no longer be provided in annual IANs. Clients will need to refer to the relevant workplan for ITCT requirements.
