All importers and customs brokers who will be required to lodge imported cargo documentation to the department for biosecurity assessment during this planned maintenance period.
Information
Update: This planned maintenance has been rescheduled and an outage will no longer occur on Sunday 04 December 2022 (AEDT).
250-2022: Services Restored: Thursday 01 December 2022 – Biosecurity Portal

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal.
Information
The unplanned service disruption to the Biosecurity Portal has been resolved. Clients registered through MyGov Digital Identity can now access the portal as normal.

A new determination for Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport commenced on 1 December 2022, Biosecurity (First Point of Entry—Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport) Determination 2022.

248-2022: Unplanned Service Disruption: Thursday 01 December 2022 – Biosecurity Portal

Approved arrangements operators, customs brokers, importers, manned depots, and freight forwarders who are required to book and manage requests for import inspections using the Biosecurity Portal.
Information
The Biosecurity Portal is currently experiencing an unplanned service disruption. As a result, clients registered through MyGov Digital Identity are unable to submit new import inspection requests.
247-2022: Services Restored: Wednesday 30 November 2022 – BICON payments

Who does this notice affect?
All clients attempting to submit and/or pay for permit applications using the Department’s Biosecurity Import Conditions System (BICON).
Information
The unplanned service disruption affecting the Biosecurity Import Conditions System has been partially resolved. Clients can now submit permit applications with payment as normal.
The issue preventing some clients from attaching documents to permit applications has not been resolved. This issue is still under investigation.
